The composer writes, "Discovery 1.0 and FTA were written before Music-X or MaxTrax, and used a hacked music editor I created called "musica" which was an internal tool of mine. The "sequences" were simple lists of pitches and times. Musica had an interesting "feature" which allowed you to "sketch" the waveform that would be played via the hardware audio playback on the Amiga. This turned out to be a not-very-useful way to create sounds."

The same music was also used in the additional stand-alone, self-booting releases "Discovery", "Discovery: Language", "Discovery: Math", "Discovery: Spelling" and "Discovery: Trivia 1".
