Trivia

Released in April 1995.

This game is known in Japan as "Vampire Hunter - Darkstalkers' Revenge".

Huitzil is the diminutive of 'Huitzilopochtli' (which means 'Blue Hummingbird on the Left'). He was the chief god of the great Aztec city Tenochtitlan and became after his death the Aztec god of the Sun and the War.

Updates

The US version is slightly different, it has the 'Winners Don't Use Drugs' screen.

The Japanese version features an expanded epilogue on each character's ending. This was removed in the other regions and only features the character art in the background.

In the Japanese version :

  • Jon Talbain is named 'Gallon'.
  • Lord Raptor is named 'Zabel Zarock'.
  • Rikuo is named 'Aulbath'.
  • Huitzil is named 'Phobos'.
  • Hsein Ko is named 'Lei Lei'.
