Shadow Of The Beast is a platform beat-em-up/horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up, created by Reflections and published by Psygnosis in 1989, originally for the Commodore Amiga.

At the time of its release, most other Amiga games weren't much more than ports of their Atari ST equivalents. Reflections wanted to make Shadow Of The Beast a game that really pushed the Amiga to its limits and make full use of the Amiga's hardware.

They certainly achieved this, as proven by the magazine reviews at the time. The only thing that lets this beast of game down is the gameplay!
