Yep, SPU is obsoleted by PSF. I have a couple more obsolete formats, and I keep them around as long as there are modules in them that are not available in the new formats. I only get timeouts on that video on Youtube (while other clips are working fine), and the link to the highres version seems dead... well, I'll try it again tomorrow!

XMPlay isn't nearly as complicated to get to work as DP was, with all the half-incompatible plugins DP relied on. But maybe I'll put something together.

I have migrated completely to XMPlay with DeliX (and the other native plugins), and a few Winamp plugins for maximum compatibility.

That package on Modland hasn't been updated for a long time, so I would recommend XtC's method instead. What I would hope for most, though, is that people would stop using the abandoned DP and go for something that is actively developed.

But some people even use Modplug, I've heard...

I was thinking... we should send a letter of condolance to be read at his funeral. The work we all know Richard for may not be known at all to his relatives. We should make it known that there are a lot of people who remember him and what he did with joy.
