Hey everyone, remember that old site called EXOTICA, which was a collection of exotic music regardless of origin?shd wrote:shd wrote:
Correction. This is not fit for UnExotica since it's a crack intro tune, not a game tune (as far as I know).

Thank you for your answer. I realize will not be able to use the .lha files then. Too bad. No, it is still quite possible to use the LhA archives, the only thing you have to worry about is the contents of those archives. Here, tell you what -- I've done a pictorial guide. It's MacOS 7.5.5 on my Ami...

Re: Newbie Q about playback
Hello, HOWEVER, all files on Exotica is in a format called ".lha" which it won't read... no player I've seen supports this format! How do I convert the .lha files into MOD or something the player supports? It seems unlikely that Exotica would choose a format that none of the 15 Mac players can read?...

I have the Apollo 1230. Actually, I just looked at the latest MMULib and it seems to include a little softkicker, which is something Thomas previously said he would not do. I'll try it out.BuZz wrote:What cpu card do you own ?
If it has an mmu surely you can use a mmu kick utility alongside move4k ?

Re: uade 0.80-pre1 released
uade 0.81-pre1 has been released. No it hasn't, 0.80-pre1 has been released. I just downloaded it today and nearly wet myself when I saw this notice -- another release within a day? But no. Anyway, good job done boys! It's really come on leaps and bounds since 0.73 (the last version that anyone bot...

like the chaos engine mods from this site. try these. i think its the startrekker version that i had on amiga. it splits the mods in two files. Two-file StarTrekker4AM mods can still be loaded into a normal tracker (if it's not too fussy about mod format) -- the synthetic samples will not exist, bu...

OS 3.x
And when I say 3.x, I mean 3.0. 2.0 was fucking fantastic, and the biggest leap up ever - especially because they made GadTools, ASL and the Amiga Style Guide, which is the most important thing! All good user interfaces have a standardised look and feel. 3.0 made a fantastic thing even better with D...

Ok then.... but without memory hunts, no one would ever be aware of the following formats: Noise Runner Polka Runner Polka Packer Pru Runner (V1) People are aware of those formats because the coders released replayers for them, promising less CPU utilisation than the standard protracker replayer. I thought that you would keep the modules in that format they are in, in the demos (the mods in the ARTE demo is in Noise Runner format, but they have converted them back to protracker.... why???) Da freak Muerto That's the format they're in on disk. Try it yourself with the READ_SOS tool on Aminet...

They are? I thought Sony bitchslapped them hard for trying to get out of their "Playstation only" contract, and they are now "SCEE Liverpool Studio"? Not quite as catchy, is it?alexh wrote:but Psygnosis is still going

Encrypted Anders Hamre mods on AM-FM disks
Hello people, today I finished ripping a pair of encrypted modules, by Anders Hamre, from the AM-FM disks. I started ripping them a couple of years ago, but forgot about it. They are "mod.sovereign solemnity" and "mod.who stole my cuica?". Sovereign solemnity is not the same as the one on the 'net, ...
