Tough one this...
Note turrican isn't in here because its a platform/shoot 'em up, and i don't class it the same
I voted James Pond III because I love it to bits, but Silly Putty, Bubble Bobble and Zool are all favourites of mine.

I just love Giana Sisters...
C64 version and Amiga... but I am also a Sonic fan.. tricky
Bubble Bobble is also great hmm..
Why did you list so many great titles. It's too hard to pick!

Had to choose Robocod. Great characters, fun levels, lovely graphics and fantastic music.

Hmm... call me infidel, but since you put Sonic there... I had to vote it
Though I actually like Sonic 2 only.
On the Amiga, i'd vote for Mr. Nutz. Closest thing to Sonic I could find

Yeah! I voted "other", because my choise would be Superfrog.
It's the only platformer, which I've completed several times :)

RoboCod: James Pond II definitely.

It was really hard to vote on this, because there were so many brilliant platformers back in the day.. Superfrog, Fire & Ice, Giana Sisters..
In the end I gave my vote to James Pond 2 - Robocod, which was damn near perfect if you ask me. A LOT of variation in the levels, good playability, lots of weird special items and powers etc. Perhaps it was a bit too slow compared to games like Superfrog, and certain levels were quite annoying, but I still love it.
Come to think of it, I don't think I ever completed Robocod despite wasting so many hours in it.. I have to do something about this. =)
