Challenge Golf

Post by asle »

Hi again,

I've uploaded the "rip" I've made of the music from the game Challenge Golf (http://hol.abime.net/2966).
Though, it seems it went to the unita/ subdir ... sorry about that.

I'm quoting my readme file :
This was composed by "Matricide". It's unknown who this refers to, at least for me.
Regarding the technical side :
the disk (DOS) contains a sfx/data file, which is the pattern data only.
I've rebuilt the header but guessing the sample sizes. I've also generated the patternlist.
Nothing close to a Protracker header can be found in any file (nor memory).
The speed (F command) was changed. It was F23 which clearly was too slow, when comparing
what can be heard in the game. I've replaced all set speed by adding 0x5A (so 125 BPM) to each.
It's as close as I could get.
Oh, and since it's 1991, I've created a Protracker. It's a fairly safe guess it's no Soundtracker :).

There's only one music, used in the title screen.
