Unless my early festive morning hangover missed it, nobody mentioned the ingame music from 'The Killing Game Show', top tune??
I heavily agree with Pimp about the Xenon II music ... kick ar*e, and also think that certain pieces of music from Awesome (well, most) kick more big fat spotty ar*s. What about the first 2-3 mins of the ingame music from Heroquest?? Atmospheric me's think.

I think the intro-muzak from STRYX (Psygnosis) was also forgotten ;)
It's one of the most 'spacey' tunes i know on amiga.

and i agree with pimp about chaos engine - i also used to play it just for the music :) well ok, not entirely, i enjoyed the game a lot as well.

i also remembered that i loved the music in the intro sequence of Lure of the Temptress. in fact the whole introduction was impressive.

I agree with most of the choices in this thread but what about Fabrice Hautecloque's starblade intro music ?
is this one such unknown ?

In no particular order, my favourite game tunes are:

Shadow of the Beast : Title tune.
LED Strom : Title tune.
Turrican
Turrican 2
R-Type : Title tune
Full Contact : Intro / Title tune.

For demos, then i like anything by Moby, Jester (Stardust Memories, OMG!!). I also like Romeo Knight's and Bit Arts' music that they did for Red Sector. I like 4-Mat's music too, especially Madness 1 & 2. I also like the Fairlight 'Love' demo tune. Strange that i heard a YM (possibly a ZX spectrum) tune that was exactly the same, note for note.

It's either destined to be a Custom, or it could share the same player as Saint Dragon and maybe one or two other games...

...and you're quite right, it IS a good tune - and quite faithful to the arcade original.

The Amiga's sound chip is what makes the games so great here are my best tunes-

1. Blood Money (the ST version is different but still great)
2. Turrican 1,2 & 3 (try the SNES version Super Turrican it's the best)
3. Z-Out
4. Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge
5. Bad Lands (I'm after a complete set, that last a while)
6. Lemmings
7. Beast 1,2 &3
8. Agony
9. Great Giana Sisters
10. pinball Dreams

And superfrog, tetris pro, James Pond, monkey island I could go on for ever. But the best ever game music on any platform is Zelda the Ocarina of Time on the N64 it's magical  [/img]

I loved the music off just about any Psygnosis game (especially Shadow of the Beast), but I have yet to locate one of my favorite tunes.

The whole reason I stumbled across this site is I suddenly had an urge to look for the sound files for Brataccus because I loved the title music and after hours of surfing the net I still have yet to locate it  .

Aside from that, Blood Money, the title music from the Killing Game Show, and Awesome stand out most in my memory.

Another side note, the .lha I downloaded of the Killing Game Show and Shadow of the Beast appear to be bugged... in SotB the credits and intro music play fine but the other sound files (the castle having been one of my favorites) are all identical and only about 10s long (not how I remembered them)... and in Killing Game Show, the in-game music plays fine from the .lha file but the title music (the one I wanted to here) claims it is corrupted or not a music file with the Deli player. Any suggestions?

Yes the SNES version of Super Turrican II made by Chris Hülsbeck. The song title is "Born to be wild" and this tune so cool.......it's some kind of trance/game music.............

You can download it from SNESamp home page......
