Update for 10-12-2003 by XtC

Post by XtC »

Ey up!

Provided I haven't messed anything up, UnExoticA should have an update waiting for you all after the script has updated the site.

This update is purely Don Adan's hard work...

...and there's plenty more yet to upload.

Cheers!

Liquid Kids music

Post by Codetapper »

I hope the Liquid Kids mods I ripped about 2 months ago will also be included in the update! I sent them to both Exotica and BTTR and neither of the sites have uploaded!

I also got no reply to the email funnily enough - is it possible you never received them? If so, do you want them again? I have also ripped sound from another 2 ARC games which I can upload if I get a reply...

Apologies for the lack of response.

BuZz forwarded your e-mail to me a while ago, so it's my fault. Those files will get added as part of the next update.

Thanks for you help - and your WHDLoad installs!

Any other rips of yours, if you could send 'em to xtc at amigaguide dot org - it would be appreciated.

Post by Codetapper »

I've emailed the (protracker) mod from Subbuteo to you guys. The WHDLoad install is being tested atm and will probably be released today :)

Must say. If you send anything to buzz it is identical as if you send something to a trashcan.
Sorry buzz.

bye bye

zeg: its not true!! honest.. i forwarded the email to xtc. I keep all exotica update information, and i back it up. I really will do the work needed soon.

Ive been considering moving the exotica system to a zope based CMS. But much of the site will have to be moved to custom zope applications (there is no existing content management framework which has the capabilities the site requires). but all this needs time.. which I dont currently have. But nothing goes to the trashcan. :-)

Roadblasters

Post by Codetapper »

While I remember, I have finally finished the install for Roadblasters. I have two warps of this game, one from Carlo and one with a readme showing supplied by Jools.

Buzz: Can you confirm if it was you that sent the game and if so, what do you want your name credited as in the WHDLoad splash screen?

You know, I really cant remember. If it was relatively recently, then it probably wasn't me. But if it was me, I don't require a credit. The fact that some whdload installs use Exoticons is credit enough :-)

Sorry. Not much help. Im quite hungover :-)

I've done more searching and found it was actually Jools Henn not Jools Smyth so I better credit the right person :)

And every single install I've done for the last few years I've checked and included Exoticons if I found them! I just wish they all had WHDLoad set in the default tool rather than IconX but never mind! :)

Next version will contain the correct tooltype. For the last version I was trying to keep compatibility with other install systems, so just using a generic project icon.
