Richard Joseph + Unexotica

Post by alexh »

Having just received my Immortal2 CD, I've been re-visiting the music of some of the artists who contributed to the above average Amiga re-mix CD by http:www.Synsoniq.com

Richard Joseph has quite a good coverage in UnExotica, however... there are a few missing titles...

1) Wicked (1989, Binary Vision)
2) International 3D Tennis (1990, Palace)
3) Demoniak (1991, Palace)
4) Voodoo nightmare (1991, Palace)
5) Global Effect (1992, Millenium)
6) Lure of the Temptress (1992, Virgin)
7) Myth (1992, System3)
8) Flight of the Amazon Queen (1995, Renegade)
9) The Chaos Engine 2 (1996, Time Warner)

Is there anything I can do to help get these titles ripped and uploaded??

Cheers

1) Wicked (1989, Binary Vision)

Needs customising ? probably unsupported format

2) International 3D Tennis (1990, Palace)

Not sure

3) Demoniak (1991, Palace)

unsupported currently ?

4) Voodoo nightmare (1991, Palace)

not sure

5) Global Effect (1992, Millenium)

nore sure

6) Lure of the Temptress (1992, Virgin)

this oen is unsupported format again i think.

7) Myth (1992, System3)

ripped and on unexotica, but its credited to don howard

[edit - weird thing. it seems credited to don howard on the main info,
but richard joseph in the lha. Something to be fixed :) ]

8) Flight of the Amazon Queen (1995, Renegade)

on exotica

9) The Chaos Engine 2 (1996, Time Warner)

on exotica

Ones which are easily ripped will be added soon or you can rip them and send them in. (All contributions are appreciated, but accurate rips from disk are preferred rather than memory dumps)

The others probably need customising or perhaps Don Adans RJP supports some of the other tunes. Im not sure..[/b]

I'll fix the Myth credits as part of the next (and long overdue) update of UnExoticA. Well spotted! :?

Which bit?

His homepage has long since vanished, and he doesn't appear to have his own section at Elixir Studios - if he's still based there...

Richards profile has got a lot better since the last time I looked but tunes from some of his games are still missing from Unexotica or miss credited to other people.

He definately did some of the music to Myth and Lots of other titles such as Voodoo Extreme, Lure of the Temptress, Demoniak, Street Racer, International Tennis thingy.

Didnt he also do the Palace versions of Barbarian 1 & 2?

Also I notice "Brutal Football" should be called "Brutal Sports Football" shouldnt it? Or was that the CD32 name?

Keep up the good work, I for one really appreciate it.

Here's some screen grabs...

That's all I have to go off. If you, or someone else reading this, has the original game manual that states otherwise, I'll be happy to correct this. Bear in mind that sometimes the manuals aren't accurate - see Agony.

I'll blitz the Richard Joseph section (I like a challenge), and I'll get back to you with a list of tunes that aren't currently supported by any players.

Here's some box scans...

We have a policy of naming the game after what it's called on the box, rather than the title screen. I got my fingers burnt when I tried to name L.E.D. Storm as Led Storm after the original arcade title. But that's not what it says on the box!

Thanks. If you spot anything else with incorrect credits, please let us know.

Well, it is - but it isn't by Richard Joseph. My bad.

The next update is currently sat waiting for the script to kick in (hint - BuZz)
