Help to rip a module

Post by manny77 »

Hello Amiga supporters! :D
This is my first post on this forum.
I have a problem with a module: can't rip it!!!
This module is the first that you can hear when start the demo "Newtron's music box". It can be downloaded in this site:

http://www.planetemu.net/

It's simple: search for "Newtron" and find this music demo.
Please, help me! I have tried all methods but without success!!.
I have used the ripper in Winfellow, exotic ripper, amiga filterium and so on, but NOTHING! By now is a challenge for me to RIP THAT MOD THAT I LOVE! I hear this song many many times when I was only fiveteen... tears from my eyes!
Excuse my english, i'm not mother tongue. Hello and thanks!

I downloaded and had a look at the demo, never seen it before. Very funny channel equalizers.

Unfortunately, I can't rip it. You don't need to do a memory rip as the intro song isn't compressed on the disk. I've had a look at the tune's structure and I don't recognise it. :(

Might need someone to make it into a Custom.

Thanks anyway! :D
I really appreciated your reply.
Then I am unlucky... :(
By the way, there is a chance that in future, someone will make me happy, doing a custom!?
Ah Yeah!! but...sorry, I don't know what is a custom :?
Is probably a special music format created specifically to play an unreadable MOD?

I think they vil make a player for the module, instead of making a costum module.

i send in the "Newtron's music box" this morning to the DeliPlayer developers and heres what came back:
Peter DP2 wrote: Only the first? Actually, all seven mods in the demo are
unrecognized by DP13 (and also by DP2). It's a very
primitive module format. The only difference to an
unpacked module is the module header, the module name
and all samplenames have been removed from it (similar
to pro-packer2 or promizer4). The patterns arn't packed.
To achive some compression, all mods have been packed with
PowerPacker.
I havn't decided if I write a converter for DP2 because
the module format is so simple.

- Peter.
Thats it, so now we must wait and see manny77

Peter DeliPlayer wrote: We're currently fixing the last major bug (which is known to
us - other severe bugs might still lurk in the depths of the

very sure - in november.
That mail is from the. 26-10-2002

Originally we planned to release the public beta before Xmas, but wouldn't talk about it because you never know what bugs are discovered just when you think all is well. Needless to say, this has happened several times now. We are currently counting beta4, which means we had 4 public beta release candidates.

Of course we have read all inspiriting comments on releasing an obviously buggy and unstable version ;-)
However, we have a slightly different opinion on this subject, especially because it will make a bad impression on people that are not aware of the implications of using 'beta' releases.

Anyway, we are quite contented with the current version (which will become beta5) and after it has been reviewed ... well, no promises *g*

Until the public beta is out, here is some information on dp2:

supports 230 formats
has a modular and highly customizable user interface
has window snapping and sticky windows
has a skinned playlist
supports up to 96kHz, 32bit soundoutput
has a Reverb SFX plugin
supports WAV, MP3 and APE encoding (if you have the necessary 3rd party DLLs)
supports playback of Internet radios
supports seamless playing
supports crossfading on most formats
You can follow the devoloping at: www.deliplayer.com
