Team).

Damones [new] (DMS, http://www.damones.net)
-------------------------------------------
Damones seem to be based on illegal activities, like cracking. The reason I
have written 'new' at the top is that they suddenly appeared again after so
much time, it is only fair to have a separator to represent the stretch of
time in which they were absent from the scene. I do not know what the
relation is between 'old' and 'new' Damones, but one of their recent ascii
logos read 'since 1991'.
Well first of all, the number one priority for Damones has always been drinking. It's still basically the same group, the founder Zados is still there, as well as another key member Duncan. I guess Vyvyan and Irwin are still with them in spirit, but kinda grown out of it. :)

Anyway, corrections: the real name of Saviour is not Savi Ka. I suppose the compiler of this memberlist has played Elfmania, since in the game credits the name of the coder is Savi K. Ka, and it's a well known fact that the game was coded by Saviour. The truth is, however, that Saviour's "nickname" in Finnish was Savikka, and the name in the credits is a modified version of that. The real name of Saviour is Jani Askolin.

Also, there aren't two members called Vyvyan and T.U.M.B., but the whole handle of Vyvyan was Vyvyan T.U.M.B. I can't remember what the letters were an abbreviation of. The Ultimate something.

I also have a feeling that Corleone and Merit were actually the same person, but I'm not quite sure. I'll confirm this.

Heh, apparently the T.U.M.B. in Vyvyan's handle is an abbreviation of the words The Ultimate Master Bastard.

And it seems that Corleone was just another name for Merit... found this funny bit of text at http://www.byterapers.scene.org/members-ex.htm, so obviously he was a member of Byterapers before Damones:
Merit did rather lot of mailtrading in the older days, and his greatest single achievent was the arrangement of Byterapers' Gathering 1991 -party in Parikkala Finland summer 1991. In other connections Merit always managed to booze himself completely, doing many awesome stunts. In one (B) meeting he did that fabulous stunt of 'Merit Corleone', claiming to Telecom Finland that he is the Finnish executive of a international computer company Byterapers, Inc. We were trying to connect from a 'order-call-line' to a certain Finnish phone number, and Telecom Finland refused, saying it's not possible. After Merit's awesome stunt, which really sounded very very decisive, big important man not getting what he wants, Telecom Finland actually managed to connect us where we wanted. :-) The only trouble was that the other Byters in background were having trouble of not lauhing too loud.

Merit later faded away from scene, and when when (B) had stopped on Amiga he moved to Damones, I think, to share his boozing talents with the world.
