a great place but wish it was joined with back2roots then there would be no one to be able to touch the amiga on the web then.
also some clear instructions would be nice about audio download etc.
nice.

Back2roots is a very different site from ExoticA, and I wouldn't want to join with it. Why join all the sites into one big site. I think that would make surfing the web a much less interesting experience.

in what way are you not alike?

If you cannot see what the difference between these two site are, you simply should not be on here.
Quick rundown.. ... yes..they both use the internet (1 point to you)

Exotica is a dedicated quality Amiga site with many REAL Amiga users submitting, fact finding and in general preserving the good name of the classic Amiga. Not forgetting about the most comprehensive scene and demo lists ever, the vast music archive with details about every piece, the largest Amiga game box gallery on the internet, and many many other great things to mention here.

BTTR on the other hand is a nice site for all the emulamers out there, they host lots of files (good for bulk downloading) and has a nice banners popping up all the time. I particularly like the 'Downloads Enabled' feature, it tells me when i can get my ADF fix.

So Mr International.. I don't see any differences, do you?

Exotica2Rooted doesn't look like a nice site name..does it.

I think maybe accuracy is a key word here.

BTTR is good for those who wish to obtain a few cracked adf's, or maybe preview some scene pics or play a few mods, but it doesnt concentrate on accurately preserving the information for many areas. Such as JPG versions of pixelled artwork, or mod rips with the ripper own text in the sample names. Tunes converted back to protracker from their original format and so on.

Hooked!

Post by XtC »

I first discovered ExoticA way back in 1997 when another site catering for "exotic" formats stopped being updated, and refered visitors to ExoticA instead.

I've kind of not looked back really!

In October of this year, ExoticA is celebrating 5 years of existence, and I'm glad to be a part of it! :D

I love you BuZz, you sexy Oxon wench!

There's one major difference between the sites, as Guest so exatly put it. I think ExoticA is for Amigas, and BTTR is for lameulators.

bttr = zip (and adf, yuck)
exotica=lha

This says it all... :D

if 2 web pages are good why not make them better!

Post by Moseley International 2 »

why not join both the web pages and make a great web page for AMIGA

AMIGA needs all the support it can get at the moment.

lets make the AMIGA great again.

Erm, isn't ExoticA great already?

BTTR is primarily a download haven for UAE fans with sparse info for each game and demo, the music section is more of a token gesture than an actual collection. Nostalgia isn't the first word that springs to mind when visiting BTTR.

I think it's fair to say that ExoticA is the exact opposite.
