What happened to Dave (Uncle Art) Lowe?

Post by alexh »

I was just listening to the "Studio music" on the Audio cassette that came with the Speccy version of Carrier Command, and thinking, wow this isnt half bad.... looked up Dave's career and realised how widespread his music was....

Seems he quit in 1995, anyone heard from him since?

I met most of the Starglider team when I worked as a student at Argonaut in 1997/98 and he was one of the only ones not there anymore :(

Anyone?

I think he's doing stuff for TV these days.

I'm also trying to track him down...
Cheers!

You think this is him?

http://www.davidlowemusic.com/

This looks like a VERY successful composer.... the music for British Airways famous commercial, the intro to BBC News 24 etc.

Could this REALLY be our man from Uncle (art) Dave Lowe?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your e-mail, but Dave "Uncle Art" Lowe is not David!

Bummer. Actually if I had looked harder at the "Highlights" section of his website I would have realised it couldnt be our Dave Lowe.

Ey up!

I got a similar response...
Thanks for the e-mail - this ISN'T the same David Lowe who went under the name of "Uncle Art"!!

Hope this is of help to you - regards ... Sue Sheldon - Production Manager @ Unsung Music
I think they were probably getting freaked out by the strange requests!

Uncle who?

I'd also looked through the highlights, but it was possible he didn't want to mention his computer game music days!

The mystery continues...
Cheers!
