Hi all.. FYI..
I ran a big WinRAR test of all the archives in the UnexoticA archive and found:--
=================================
Brooke_Jason\World_Darts.lha: CRC failed in World_Darts\Custom_Version\cust.World_Darts. The file is corrupt
Daglish_Ben\Rick_Dangerous.lha: CRC failed in Rick_Dangerous\Alternate_Custom_Version\cust.Rick_Dangerous. The file is corrupt
Lopatic_Thomas\Katakis.lha: CRC failed in Katakis\bss.loading. The file is corrupt
Mrsic-Flogel_Janko\Fireblaster.lha: CRC failed in Fireblaster\jmf.Fire_Blaster. The file is corrupt
Mrsic-Flogel_Janko\Space_Station.lha: CRC failed in Space_Station\jmf.Space_Station. The file is corrupt
Strauch_Florian\Ice_Runner.lha: CRC failed in Ice_Runner\sid2.hi_score. The file is corrupt
=================================
I just re-downloaded them cuz I thought it may be just my copy, but the errors exist in the archives held on the site.
Just thought this info would be useful..

Corrupted archives?
Re: Corrupted archives?
winrar does report some errors on the files. It's maybe some bug inMysticMoon wrote: I ran a big WinRAR test of all the archives in the UnexoticA archive
the lha they were packed with (To do with file comments i think).
However despite the error report the files extracted are fine. so just
ignore the errors
unix lha reports a checksum error but the file is intact and correct.
Recently a new amiga version of lha was uploaded to aminet.
(version 2.11)
http://main.aminet.net/util/arc/lha_68k.lha
http://main.aminet.net/util/arc/lha_os4.lha
http://main.aminet.net/util/arc/lha_wos.lha
Unlike the last version i was using 2.1, it ALSO reports the crc errors when unpacking these files. However, repacking with this latest version seems to fix it, and the other versions unpack it fine.
So, I guess we will be replacing these archives soon.
