Fave software?

Post by Zeb »

What was installed on your Amiga?

I've been spending a while trying to get my machine back into a decent environment. Recently installed MUI, DevPac and about to install Personal Paint and ReSource.

Things going slow as I can't remember what I had installed - seem to have to download it as I remember I need it :D

Ey up!

I've got the majority of the above installed, plus DPaint, PPaint, ImageFX, Photogenics and MCP (dunno whether that's obsolete or not! :?)
Cheers!

Well, MCP isn't developed very much. Someone took over, but their releases are buggy and not very useful.

Actually, I stopped using mcp as all it's features are implemented better with s few other tools. I only ever really used its assignprefs and a few other things.

I've got PPaint 7 installed and it works but I can't load any images saved as ILBM into AGAlab.

I've tried DPaint III and IV and they only work when booting from floppy but brushes work OK with AGAlab.

If loading DPaint from HD the emulator crashes - any idea?

Stick with PPaint as it's more stable. Save your images as PNG. If PNG isn't an option, you can get the library from Aminet.
Cheers!

Yeah but PNG isn't supported by AGAlab
