Enduro Racer, Golden Axe and Shinobi Arcade music

Post by spectral »

Yo all,

the Lost In Translation Project is lovely (Thanks xtc and everyone who delivered this beast unto us!), so I got of my arse and recorded the music from Enduro Racer, Golden Axe and Shinobi. Should be replicated to mirrors within a few hours. Anyway, check 'em out and see if you like 'em or not! Feedback appreciated as these are my first recordings, and the player is somewhat of a bugger to work with :)

Stay tuned for more...

Ey up!

Thanks for joining in with this collection - it's great to see someone else chipping in!

M1 can be a fiddly with it's output, but it's a damn site easier than trying to get MAME to do it!
Cheers!

Yes, especially annoying when it just randomly skips a subsong or 2. Or when it has some old stuff in the soundbuffer and outputs that before the next track. Wish they'd make it opensource so one could fix silly things like this...

Wow, cheers xtc. Then I don't know why he doesn't release the sourcecode along with all his releases. Anyway, might go ahead and ask him for the new one then!

I just fixed a problem with the mirror download script which affected enduro racer. the tune "BGM #1" (ftp) which had a # in the filename didn't work on my browser. I wasn't url encoding the ftp:// redirect path which made a problem with some characters.
