TFMX

Post by pc_tek »

Yeap...the dreaded, but fantastic TFMX style music bug has hit me...and I want to use some tracks for a game I am creating. Unfortunately, I can use just about anything other than TFMX modules! Oh damn!

Anybody have access to any kind of converter. No MP3's or OGG's please...they are too big.

convert to what ? I mean, if you want them in a game the easiest route is to use some compressed format like ogg/mp3. you could do a low quality ogg for example and it wouldn't be that big.

Otherwise there is some old source in m68k asm on the old site with some replayer code. Also there is some C replayer code for tfmx around the net I think, but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

There are a few players/plugins that can do tfmx. I am sorry but I don't have a full list, but if you google for it you should be able to find what you need.
For example an xmms plugin where you could probably steal some code can be found here: http://xmms-tfmx.sourceforge.net/

mind you though, you should respect the license it has, and not just blatantly stealing source.
