In May of 1994 a contest was held to find a logo for the first Aminet web interface.

Urban Müller chickened out of picking a winner himself, and instead opted for an e-mail based system to let Aminet visitors vote for a winner.

Although Aminet was given a facelift in 2005, I'm sure most people still recognise the old logo.
