Hitmen (HIT)
Hitmen started mainly as German cracking group on the C64, founded as a one man group by Jihad/Action (crack) in may of 1990, which it stayed until the entire German section of Vision joined around december the same year. It later turned into a Demo- and reverseengineering Group which is active on many different Platforms.
Members
Hitmen has disbanded twice, the first time it dissolved in 1991 and got rebuild in 1992, just to dissolve again in the beginning of 1993 and get rebuild once more in 1995. Unlike in other similar cases in the Scene, all "reincarnations" were "official" and initiated by the original members, namely Jihad and Curlin.

- ACTION wrote in their MAGIC NEWS that SEX'N'CRIME said they are members of the FEDERATION AGAINST IKARI. well, they are not. sorry, i didn't know that SPITFIRE doesn't have the slightest bit of dignity. usually people start a war for nothing... but IKARI said SPITFIRE was a LAMER... and SPITFIRE didn't seem to care at all... was IKARI really that powerfull ? anyway, ACTION is in war with the SHARKS, BEASTIE BOYS and ARRAY. I personally think that the SHARKS are pretty cool. they might not have any good crackers but they really got fast originals just like ACTION. well, the two other groups... (aaarrrggghhh...) the word 'lame' is too good for them...

Hitmen (1st Generation)
Back in 1989 Jihad and Curlin (at that time called Accu) have been members of Action... While Curlin left Action and joined Vision after he got into troubles with Spitfire/Action for some reason, Jihad still continued doing finest Quality cracks for Action. After a short time also Jihad was unhappy in Action, because of Spitfire's behaviour, so he wanted to teach him a lesson. Hitmen was born, with Jihad still being the main cracker in Action so we also got the newest originals available in Germany. Jihad was acting under the handle of The Barrel for Hitmen, Curlin was spreading the Hitmen wares as a freelancer these days, after a short while people were questioning who Hitmen was... Also Spitfire was getting mad as Hitmen was nearly as fast as Action and even did better versions. After a short time Jihad and Curlin joined Hitmen under their real handle. At that time also Twist was working for us. We became more successful and bigger.

- RALF (editor of LOVE AND SEX) was kicked out of ALPHAFLIGHT. he won't release any new issue of his magazine until he has joined a new group. MARKUS changed his name into ACCU, left ALPHAFLIGHT and joined ACTION. [note: Ralf == Racoon, Markus == Curlin]

- (??/??/90) "Blood Money +3/Hitmen" cracked by The Barrel (aka Jihad) This seems to be the first ever Hitmen release, the crack itself doesn't mention any release date, but the game is from may so that's probably also when the crack was done.

- ACCU left ACTION,changed his handle into PUBLIC ENEMY and joined FLASH INC. [note: ACCU == Curlin]

- according to SPITFIRE, ACCU didn't leave the group, he did not rename and he did not join FLASH INC.. [note: ACCU == Curlin]. The ALPHAFLIGHT+PARAMOUNT co-operation splitted up, both groups are even in war with each other now !
- FLIMBO of PARAMOUNT changed his name into JALT. BLACK ART and TOM TAYLOR left ALPHAFLIGHT and joined PARAMOUNT. EXCELLENZ of PARAMOUNT joined X-RAY. there were a few internal problems in PARAMOUNT, but two different stories:
- 1st Version: SCRATCHER and DR.DEATH were very lazy and talked shit, so PARAMOUNT kicked them out.
- 2nd Version: STING and PARAMOUNT DESIGN coded a game, but STING ripped some routines from SCRATCHER and DR.DEATH, without giving them credits or money. so SCRATCHER and DR.DEATH left the "rippers" and formed the legal demogroup: CREATION.
- 1st Version: SCRATCHER and DR.DEATH were very lazy and talked shit, so PARAMOUNT kicked them out.
- From Corruption 6 (August 1990)
- According to last SEX'N'CRIME: accu rejoined ACTION after he was a few days in P & AFL. jihad did not stop,he just slows down a bit because of his civil forces.

- Rumours say that ACTION will probably DIE soon. JIHAD is going to join the army, ACCU joined FLASH INC. and the rest of the members are LAZY !

- Curlin (crack) joined from Vision, and Derse from Ruthless. News in WOW's "Internal #3" that someone named 'RAF' joined with Curlin are untrue.
1991
- Early january saw the release of "ViNews #3" by Curlin and Mad Butcher, which announced the joining of three ex-members of Internal Affairs; Hires, Mad B. and Bass. Dr.Disk changed his handle to Hermit and joined Chromance in january. Dense left for Manowar in january. Swedes Mason and Stanze joined early in the year. Jihad was interviewed for Triad "Gamers Guide #5" in the early months of the year, but then inexplicably left the group not long after... According to the "Gamers Guide #9", the group died, probably around may. Jihad formed another new group, called Joy Division. The german members Curlin (code crack, ex Vision, new 12/90), Thunder (gfx), Racoon and Alfatech left for Triad.
ViNews #3 (1991, 02.01, Multifile Diskmag)
review: First of all, this mag will get a positive response to their unorthodox design. Perhaps not all ideas are the best (what is that 'Werner' doing there guys?), but at least they have the courage to think new. Apart from that, the mag's editorial content is about normal for this kind of thing. Atleast the English is on such a levels that the news items don't confuse, like can sometimes be the case with Sex'n'Crime =] One nice section, which I'd like to see expanded is the 'crax test' (inspired by Triad's "Gamers Guide"?). If they wrote a little more about WHY one version is superior to another, instead of just giving us those meaningless numbers, this would be an interesting section. There is no mention of the music being exclusive or anything, so it was most likely ripped. To sum up, this is actually above average for these kinds of mags, where the editorial content is not really supposed to transcend the 'editorial, news + adresses' formula. [glenn]

TYREE (ex-NIGGA of X-RAY) built a new
group along with HOK and JIHAD,named
ECCENTRIX. Also CRISP,A-MAN and a few
more (all German) members joined in.
They tried to get a lot of G*P members,
like TYGER,L.A.STYLE,DRAKE,ROCKSTAR etc,
but failed. TYREE could almost convince
TYGER to join,who at that time was very
unhappy about the problems in GENESIS.
He told them to name the group ARCADE.
But at the G*P party he meet the ARCADE
members,disliked TYREE and decided to
stay in G*P as nobody ever really wanted
to leave G*P in first place. During the
party STING decided to join G*P,together
with JOE COOL (who planned to join
ILLUSION in first place). Also JIHAD
said he would join GENESIS sooner or
later. ARCADE took THE MYSTIC CAVERN as
their HQ after GENESIS was kicked off.
They claimed to have the 1OO% crack of
QUADRANT,but in fact that release was
only a preview and CRISP had to re-code
half of it to make it even work... Same
goes for another preview called TANK
DIVISION... Meanwhile HOK took a short
break as things didn't work out the way
he wanted them to. But after a few days
he was back.
STING did not join GENESIS as he was
afraid he would get kicked out again
after he released the games he had. Then
he and MANIAC rejoined TALENT and wanted
to release the games,but BOD refused and
kicked them out again. Then MANIAC quit.
TYREE called TSM and told them STING's
version of QUADRANT was stolen. So TSM
released the ARCADE version instead of
the one by TALENT... Recently HELLFIRE
(a German hacker) joined ARCADE. JIHAD
announced he quit the scene due to some
major (private) problems,but after two
days he was back already. He recently
had his 22nd birthday. Congratulations!
LAZYNESS and HELLFIRE left ARCADE.
TYREE left(?) ARCADE after some trouble
with HELLFIRE,but "rejoined" a few days
later.

Propaganda 12 (November 1993) D Dear Hackers, We are not stupid. We know our past, what we've been doing, what others have been doing. Or do we really? A while back the group VISION was re- built. At that point it was REBUILT. At that point, none of the Danish members were aware that the Swedish coders ICON and HOUBBA were having their own little VISION, basically not doing anything though. People on the scene reacted, and righteously, as this was not an original creation, but a brave attempt to breath air into a project that ended ages ago. VISION got pissed and claimed the opp- osite. Many of the members had in fact been in the original VISION when it was around last time. SATAN, RAY, X-RADICAL and the lot of others. I can only giggle as you claim so. - Now let's get things very STRAIGHT here. VISION was built up in Holland over 5 years ago. These Dutch people still run VISION on the Amiga, as they went Amiga at a pretty early stage. Among others, HEIN DESIGN was in. VISION, however, kept going on the 8-bit scene, thanks to CURLIN who had entered VISION in the early days as well. Now, everybody with a slight sense of scenehistory also knows that VISION was rebuilt a few times. A success- ful demopumper back in the late 8O's and early 9O's. A decent crack/code group later on. At all these stages CURLIN was in, guarding his legacy. Now don't get me wrong here. I was in VISION as well, along with JUCKE and A LOT of people. In 1992, the talented Danes (SATAN+RAY) entered, and gradually their power was in- creased, finally letting SATAN take take charge of the Danish section as I was managing the rest with JUCKE, but a while later I felt a sudden urge to leave the group. Why? CURLIN had left his project, leaving it for a destiny, and without any particular original root, I felt we did the right thing leaving VISION, as it was not really our group. Many others, however, remained, while we formed CALADAN with some others, later on ending up in GENESIS. It's all fair and easy to say there are plenty of 'original'-members since the last VISION at this point, but from the original one? The answer is simple and straight; No. Undisputable facts. That's why I consider the group to be a fake. ________________________________________ Furthermore, you go on about 'having your rights to build it'. Sure you do. Who can stop you at this point? But people will react. You laugh at me and say 'you even left VSN before SATAN and RAY'. - Yes I did, and have explained why above. I consider it fairly obvious why as well. In the note made by WOLF, you do not only dispute the facts made by history itself, but tend to personally insult and invent lies in order to make me appear unreliable. God you are pathetic trying to gain dignity for your group that way! You do not imply. No, you claim the reason for my opinions about your group rests beneath one only thing; * SATAN + RAY both being GENESIS members, being heavy talents in our cracking-division leaving us for the new VISION. Furthermore, you quote and mark my words as I saluted them when they teamed up in GENESIS a couple of months back, as I talked warmly of them as 'new talents', 'the new breed' etc. Mark my words. What we are talking about, are two terribly gifted crackers, and they still are, no matter what group they are in. If I was to take revenge for somebody leaving GENESIS I'd prob- ably be a crackpot, and a goddamn childish one. The loss of SATAN and RAY was a setback for us, but still we never experienced them having the devotion for GENESIS that the rest of us share. So maybe their choice was the wisest of them all, as VISION seems to claim a certain position in their hearts. I hope they finally found a home, because they deserve something where they can give and take. I consider both of them being very cheerful and aimable friends, and will probably cheer thru a beer with them, when in Denmark, but seeing a mindless little twart like WOLF claiming I more or less bribed them with a modem in order to make them GENESIS-members makes me want to laugh, and by golly I do. What you do not know, you shall shut up about. - But for the nosy ones, I can gladly claim my rights. I offered SATAN a modem. Not because I wanted him to join, but because it would ease up communication in a 1OO% modem-based group. I also promised a lot more, but at this point, JUCKE was caught by the Swedish Telecom, and we experienced somewhat of a setback that took some time to get thru. Only late this summer, things got back to normal. Only then, we realized how little GENESIS was for our Danish members. ________________________________________ I never said YOUR members were lame, as I know they're not. You claim I did. I know you have a strong crew, a creative crew with great abilities. I was never talking about the members - I was talking about the group. So far I've seen a few cracks, and all of them have seemed jolly good, so there is no way I doubt your abilities, qualitywise that is. But the more I think of it, the more I come to realize the simple truth: The note edited by WOLF was in my eyes some what ridiculous. Claiming I wanted revenge says it all. And furthermore, turning the whole affair into personal insults, instead of keeping up the war commenting whether I considered them to be good crackers 6 months back or not. God, listen to it. But, come to think of it, I would be offended as well, dear WOLF. If somebody with respect and dignity, was threatening me, and I was having the feeling I was losing it, I would probably desperately struggle to gain my rights. If somebody with a lot more importance and possibilities to affect was to do that, I would act childishly and naive as well. Probably not spending a thought about the come of age. I would probably claim my enemy was 'a highly unreliable person' as well, not knowing a single penny about anything. Performing personal insults is very hazardous, and incredibly pathetic. I'm laughing, and so are a million others. Slightly bending my head backwards, trying to figure out what your reaction will be like. We can go over things again, the quick way. If somebody decided to reform THE ROLLING STONES in 1O years, you'd probably claim it was a fake if the original members were not in. You'd probably even consider them something else, if only Mick Jagger was missing. Why? Because he was the frontman, and their obvious member. It is exactly the same way I look at it, and many many others. If I wasn't to talk to ANTICHRIST and DEBBIE a couple of times a week, letting them in on our actions and listening to his advice I'd leave his legacy at the itch of a second. I do not create enemies. I do not intend to fight wars with people, at these late years of the 64. But I would sincerly appreciate if you thought twice about your behaviour towards me. If you thought twice about the way you've handled things and the way a group should be run. I know I would. But then again, I'm not a member of VISION, and I'm glad for it. There are still some important matters that I will focus on. 1. SATAN was taken into VISION as a result of decision through me, JUCKE, STATUS and CURLIN. WE TOOK you into the group, WE, after some time, let you take charge of the Danish section, in order to ease things up for all of us. 2. We never bribe or offer things in order to get people into GENESIS. We have a share of people willing to pay to join. And by far, many of them could be doing a decent job cracking as well..So there. 3. X-RADICAL'S unfortunate appearance in GENESIS was a mistake caused by confusion. He promised a lot and behaved highly unlikely. He intended to publish a diskmagazine (though we had PROPAGANDA), of course not letting us know, then it appears he has a European board, going for G*P without us knowing. (and by far not having intentions of supporting in any way) and finally behaving badly against our dear fellow partners in SUCCESS, with whom we GLADLY shared the best board in the world, DIVINE ULTIMATUM. As a result of this, it was an obvious sack. 4. Caesar, your American member, was even booted from DOWN BY LAW, today the leading board in the scene, for his behaviour. He has a board, and we all laugh about it. Look at it any way you want. There are a million people considering your att- empt a load of laughs, but then again there are probably people behind your backs as well. Whatever you decide to do, I'm leaving it be from here. as i have been wondering 'bout this
vision-thing ever since they were 1st
time reformed (when curlin & others were
in), i really want to say my opinion.
i've been in the scene from 1986-87, so
maybe i have something new..
i checked a 'few' disks (about 500) and
found the demo i was searching for :
' legalise it ' which was visions first
demo ever. actual release date was 17-10
1988 at the joy/mgf/wwe party,veenendaal
holland. and in the scroll they say that
it's their 1st demo. so i made a fast
calculating and.. hmm. let's say it's
5.5 years from their forming.
unfortunately the demo (which was one of
the collest those times) bugged 50%, but
in one part i found addies (they lived
in holland) and the names of some of the
members. they were :
tsm (code), hph (gfx) and shock. (the 2
first ones are brothers) they all were
also swappers. i don't tknow if they had
any other members, probably not, as the
group was young. this demo was also the
last one i saw from these guys.
then...year 1990, september, i took one
note from curlin/vision including their
correct memberstatus:

when i compare these statuses together
with the new vision status that i saw in
skyhigh issue 9 in an article by wolf of
vision.i don't see a single member who
would have been in both 1st & 2nd vision
or in 2nd & 3rd vision. STRANGE?
i may be wrong if i say that somebody is
re-using vision's name. i mean the REAL

Propaganda 13 (13 April 1994) D Dear Hackers, Just to put an end to this thing with VISION, let me take you behind the scenes what really happened, and what the sitation is like now. As we (GENESIS) showed up in Denmark, we expected some to be quite a hassle. Me, myself, I was looking forward to meet my close friends RAY & SATAN, both members of VISION with a past in GENESIS. Some people in VISION and outside as well, tried using them against us, but little did they know, we got along happily at the part, and intend to continue that way. However, DISHY, a Danish swapper, member of VISION, stood responsible for some of the hassle himself. While chatting with our Danish buddies, DISHY came out pretty drunk and started harrassing us, in particular JUCKE, causing an argument to appear. DISHY was obviously to drunk to keep up a subject, or a proper argument. It was unfortunate, as both RAY and SATAN, were ashamed of his behaviour towards us, and we do understand them. Then DISHY was forced to leave by his so embarrassed groupmembers. DISHY ran over to MR. MISTER, who just joined in as well, pleading for what probably could have started a minor fight. It never did however. By the end, DISHY was apologizing, and we were forgiving. You know what we argued about. Then I guess you understand why I can't stop laughing now that CURLIN, RACOON and others left them. As said before, back to square one.

ALPHA FLIGHT have had tremendous success
since their comeback, and once I come to
think of it, quite some time has passed
since the reunion. The future of the
group has somewhat worried me, and many
others throughout the field, with voices
speaking of PEACEMAKER leaving the
market as of May 1995. PEACEMAKER has
of course been responsible for part of
the success of ALPHA FLIGHT with his
efforts in fixing releases for ALPHA
FLIGHT and for various other groups.
CURLIN, old fame takes the worries
a mile further, perhaps speaking a bit
too much through the fog of alcohol at
X'95 in Holland, when PROPAGANDA met up
with him.

The best of news appeared with HITMEN
returning to the scene. With a lot of
noise, the group announced themselves
doing so by firstreleasing the preview
of CANNON CRAZE. Reactions from groups
out on the boards have proved very
positive. With a new group, we see
energy, hunger and vitamins all togeth-
er, and that encourages us all. Sharing
the number-2 board DUNGEON with TRC*SCS,
HITMEN immediately establish themselves
as a qualitylabel.

The idea of rebuilding the group came
early August with JIHAD, PEACEMAKER
and CURLIN cutting to terms over a
beer. It did not take long until the
concept saw light of day, and from there

HITMEN intend to NTSC-fix software for
selected groups throughout the field,
and with a talent like PEACEMAKER, it
will without doubt be requested service.
Furthermore the group intends to focus
on the mailscene, and recruiting SUZUKI,
claiming to depart from OXYRON, the
group has created the essential network.

HITMEN at a fairly early stage. Quickly
he flooded the boards with his presence
and ran wares at a pace, placing him
as the worldwide numberone runner all
summer. His efforts brought back fine
memories from MURDOCK/G*P who would
boast with his 800 BLOCKS/DAY. Tranziie
will be doing public relations for the
group as well as running wares through
the entire network.

Over the years, groups have come and
gone over the surface of earth. Some
have made impact and some have passed
by without the flinch of an eye. HITMEN
takes a brave turn relaunching their old

HITMEN were much appreciated with their
comeback not long ago on the Commodore-
market. With a rather pompous entrance,
that stunned the public, things slowed
down slightly releasewise. However, the
HITMEN label is very active in terms of
public relations. You will find the
group on virtually every board, and
on a quite regular level you will find
them fixing software for other groups,
most recently for TRC*SCS, who unlikely
decided not to fix the title on their
own. HITMEN is still a name to focus on,
with plenty to give.

BUILDING UP A SUCCESS

When HITMEN was announced to return,
they did so with a surprisingly reduced
staff. It appeared as though HITMEN
planned to be boardgroup only, with
old, experienced people taking part.
The last few months have however been
hektic. Recruting swappers speak of a
will to be distributed to a wider public
and just recently CURLIN announced a
musician in the German area might become
a valuable asset to the group. The
latter information tells us, HITMEN
have decided not to remain on a small
scale, but instead taking part of the
other big organizations on the field.

THE POLISH BANDWAGON

Following the trend of the valuable
Polish market, HITMEN recruited MOBY,
a Polish supplier whose first deeds
already have been seen. With a Polish
coverage, HITMEN will be taking part
of the most important market today.
Whether this will leave room for an
expanding section is yet uncertain.

RUMOURS ABOUT THE MINISTRY

THE MINISTRY very quick to enter the
HITMEN-squad. Being sacked from ON-
SLAUGHT, they quickly needed a new
a label to stand by. DODGER, also crack-
ing for HITMEN appeared fairly pleased
with the decision and commented it
ironically on WARE'S AQUARIUM. The
nastiest of tounges rumoured that the
cracking duo MINISTRY were only taken
in to please Swedish TRANZIIE, but
that is not true. THE MINISTRY will be
highly valuable, especially considering
that HITMEN have switched into topgear,
also concerning a boost on the mail-
market.

HITMEN decided not only to focus on
having one of the best boards in the
world. THE DUNGEON was simply not
enough! Signing up the Swedish WARE'S
AQUARIUM, shared with FAIRLIGHT and
PEACEMAKER reopening MYSTIC PARADISE,
HITMEN have some of the juiciest names
in the market. We can only congratulate
them on the issue and take of our hats.

THE ALCHEMIST DOESN'T PAY HIS BILLS?

Recently THE DUNGEON was taken off line,
due to some private occurences with
THE ALCHEMIST, sysop of the system.
It might be that phonebills have been
a bugger to pay at times, but the board
has during likewise happenings always
returned, which leaves little room for
worries. We just have lean back and
await the announcement as it returns.

- Hi-Lite joined from Hardcore around august-september. Around september, they recruited Dodger and Shok'Ray from Onslaught. They also left swapper Suzuki (previously in Dytec, Equinoxe etc) join on trial basis, but after a short while decided to end his membership.
1996
Back in the middle of 1996 Hitmen made their first steps on a console named Playstation. At that time no one believed that anybody would be able to upload and execute homemade stuff to the Playstation using only an Action Replay with a Comms-Link, they didn't even dare to dream that this machine would have its own scene.
Then two freaks wanted to prove them all wrong. Jihad and Curlin started to hack around on the machine and pretty soon found a way to execute programs which have been uploaded to the Playstation using the ActionReplay Executable from Datel and later on with a reverse engineered homemade Rom.
After a while they got in contact with Ez-O-Ray and Blackbag. Ez-O-Ray released their genius Rom version which made things lots easier. And when Blackbag started to publish the important information about the Playstation internals, things started to roll.
Finally it was there, Eco2Exe, created by Silpheed. This started to inspire people to grab the Yaroze compiler (which was available at the net at that time) and start coding. Now they where given the possibility to run their programs on a normal Playstation through the ActionReplay with Comms-Link. This is where it all started, the Playstation Scene was born.

Propaganda 21 (April 1996): +------------------+ |O | _|Old group returns.|___________________ +------------------+ Coming back from a long haze, HITMEN arrives, surprising the entire market. The group does so with an impressive intensity on the boards and launching the preview MAGICAL FORMULA. The game is refered to being supplied by ancient veteran JIHAD, while rumours speak of NIGHTSHADE/TRC*SCS doing the old crew a favor to get them back properly on track. HITMEN furthermore sign on THE DUNGEON as their worldheadquarter, sharing it with both SCS*TRC and DEM- ONIX.
Propaganda 21 (April 1996): THE DUNGEON-episode is an ongoing head- line in all magazines currently. The popular board is finally going back on- line within the next 2 weeks. THE ALCH- EMIST should have solved all problems and paid his bills. THE DUNGEON will as before be running for both TRC*SCS and HITMEN, just like THE MYSTICAL PARADISE, that just recently followed the the American, and apperently successful concept.

The group that was awarded comeback of

they have had the highest representation

The German board THE MYSTICAL PARADISE,
managed by PEACEMAKER has gained immense
popularity since the group decided to
connect a 1-8OO to it. Even though the
1-8OO was disconnected quickly, a second
was announced and HITMEN found themselv-
es competing with the other Europan HIT-
MEN board - WAREZ AQUARIUM.

recently, TRC*SCS entered as secondhand
group to THE MYSTICAL PARADISE.

SELFCONCIOUS CRACKER DISMISSED

DODGER, a talented cracker who also
spent time in ONSLAUGHT was dismissed
from the staff. It is obvious DODGER
himself was very proud with his work,
but the other members were not pleased
with his selfrewarded talent combined
with laziness and let him go. Currently
both PEACEMAKER and THE MINISTRY are
doing the crackingjob, among many others
in the group. Additionally they have
also recruited DR.DOOM from Holland who
will be swapping. Supplying the preview
COLONY, he will also take active part in
supplying. ZORE, who comes directly from
the inactive and quickly fading HARDCORE
was added to arrange the "non-existing
graphics", says CURLIN on DREAM PARK.
The supplier MOBY and veteran ARROGANCE
were removed for their weak interest in
the group.

First of all, let me say that the turns
in this matter have been quite few. In
the beginning, the PROPAGANA-staff act-
ually were accused for protecting us by
writing what they call the truth. Let's
get to it.
JAZZCAT writes that I and MARCUS (THE
MINISTRY) got kicked out of ONSLAUGHT
for not being able to crack the game
MEGA THRUSTABALL, an old game that
LEGEND had released earlier. The
"original" that I received from JAZZ-
CAT was to begin with, already cracked.
Furthermore it was old - what any ser-
ious cracker would call a re-release.
ONSLAUGHT refered to it as a "new sales-
version". What the difference was, I
do not know.
The fact is, that we didn't even attempt
cracking this game. As some of you might
know, we are both in the last year of
school, and those who actually finished
school know that the last year is a
tough one. There are many tests. We have
many times give up our social lives to
study, so why should the scene be more
important? JAZZCAT knew this, as I told
him myself on DOWN BY LAW.
He also says "we are an international
based group" meaning that I and MARCUS
shouldn't be used to this, but to a
Swedish based core. GENESIS*PROJECT
was actually the -first- group of this
kind we were in, and for what it seems,
also the last. We have been in many
groups over the years, and I speak for
both of us when I say that we never
experienced such a bad organization
- ever. Sometimes you could see a new
face on the boards claiming to be in
ONSLAUGHT, and when you asked who he
was, the answer was: "he joined up two
weeks ago - didn't you know?" Commun-
ication is the keyword, while in ON-
SLAUGHT there was no such thing.

Before we got kicked, JAZZCAT claims
to give us a "second chance" by giving
us a firstrelease-original to put out.
But reaching us in person was, as he
says, very tough. This is another big
lie. We are both available by phone
every monday through friday between
22-O8 cet, and that is a fact. We might
not be awake, but we are there. All
other times I can be reached on my
cellular phone, so you see we were
- not- hard to reach, not at all.
Anyway, JAZZCAT e-mailed me on WARE'S
AQUARIUM asking how to give me the ori-
ginal. My answer was to put it on the
drives under a fake name and when I
would have leeched it, I'd let the sys-
op delete the file. JAZZCAT'S reaction
to this was as he says: "...how lame,
and so they were kicked". This I cannot
understand. If he had wanted us to put
that game out, he would have done as I
suggested as noone would have been able
to spot, see or download the original
on the drive anyway. This shows he's
full of shit. At last, he defends his
group by saying "we contain(ed) members
such as MAJESTY, CHRYSAGON, IGNORANCE,
DEEKAY and LA STYLE". That's impressive,
but why have names on the memberlist
that weren't active in any way, but
just being names to brag? Or as in the
case of DEEKAY, as stated on the US
boards in mid 1995 : "he is not con-
sidered a member of our group, but will
do grapchis for us".
This is what I had to say about this
matter, and I hope it made things a
bit cleare, as it's what - we - exp-
erienced, and not what JAZZCAT claims
to have happened.

With almost 2 years and running, the
reunion of HITMEN has grown into a mat-
ure organization with a strong situation
on the market. They are continously up-
dating their structure and focusing on
new sides of the business. Their con-
tribution to the demoworld is admirable
and even though many would not regard
CUCUMBER JUICE 2 as the most stunning
piece of code ever done, it is a trem-
endous effort presented in classy,
old-school style. According to TRANZIIE,
there should be a 3rd released in 1997.

NEW OFFICIAL LEADERSHIP.

JIHAD and CURLIN have declared not to be
particulary interested in the future of
the Commodore 64. Instead they have dr-
eams and ambitions to work on the SONY
PLAYSTATION and PC on several levels.
Piracy is of course an evident factor,
but also the legal sector attracts.
Somehow, it is a punch in the fact for
the market who have seen HITMEN as one
of the most active groups over the past
year. According to TRANZIIE, mediapro-
file in the group "BOTH JIHAD AND CURLIN
HAVE NOT REALLY BEEN DOING ANYTHING FOR
THE 64-DIVISION FOR SO LONG, THERE WILL
NOT BE A DIFFERENCE ANYWAY". The offic-
ial leadership has been passed on to
GROEPAZ, even though has been managing
the group for a long time. It has also
been suggested that many of the cracks
by CURLIN, were in fact done by him.

HITMEN expand their staff in the creat-
ive area. CUPID follows from F4CG, a
group where his talent did not quite
get a chance for maximum exposure, un-
like commented in the RELAX MAGAZINE.
CHAOTIC, talent from one the absolutely
most popular demogroups right now -
SMASH DESIGNS, followed shortly and will
be part of HITMEN as a second group.

THE MYSTICAL PARADISE, the number-one
board in Europe, awarded BOARD OF THE
YEAR in the annual PROPAGANDA AWARDS,
was formatted. It is unclear who actu-
ally has hostility towards HITMEN or
PEACEMAKER, who runs the board. The
board was fortunately up and running
quickly, without any valuable losses.
Recently, HITMEN have once again started
their crusade in setting up toll-frees,
and most likely we will see THE DUNGEON,
their American board, run for the
number-one-spot. Well deserved, that
is.

Propaganda 24 (September 1997) +--+ |HITMEN .. |HITMEN \/ +--+ ________________________________________ It has been awfully quiet around HITMEN. Almost too quiet at times. PEACEMAKER started making notice somewhere during the summer and also announced he would be fixing again. The statement sent a message that there was something to expect from HITMEN - again. HITMEN also declared that they were the first group ever to have an intro on the much hyped Playstation-market. A demo will be find- ing it's way to our screens as they have decided to participate in the big demo- compeition in Denmark this christmas. AVANTGARDE DUO REUNITES IN HITMEN AVANTGARDE-DUO REUNITES IN HITMEN ________________________________________ Big surprise of the summer was the fact that DEFF decided to leave F4CG and head for HITMEN. DEFF has been inactive since the death of AVANTGARDE, mainly due to the fact that his girlfriend decided to give birth to her ex.boyfriend's child. His job in Berlin did not help either for that matter. HITMEN announced that both DEFF and JACK ALIEN were active again, even though PROPAGANDA would say it's probably mostly JACK ALIEN who's active. DEFF has been sitting on a stock of games since he left the scene behind. These games are now being cracked and released by JACK ALIEN. Several of the games are still unsold and under pro- cess of sales by F4CG who have original hand on some of the titles. MUCH DISCUSSION OVER UNSOLD GAME MUCH DISCUSSION OVER UNSOLD GAME. ________________________________________ PLASM has been a particulary interesting game to follow. F4CG released the pre- view a while back and the original was still being stalled for release as the game was unsold. HITMEN knew that the preview was a sign of things to come and decided to release the game, unsold and without notice on the American bo- ards. F4CG were clearly annoyed with the way things were being handled and pro- tested loudly on the boards. A while later they decided to strike back with a 1OO%-version of the game. It was clear that the HITMEN-versions hi-score saver was a crash and the music was not fixed. Normally, this is not enough to request a 1OO%-version but they decided to release it anyway, even though they knew it would be giving them minuspoi- nts. "WELL, WE STATED CLEARLY THAT WE DID NOT DO THE 100%-RELEASE FOR THE POINTS. WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE 100%-VERSION- DISCUSSION A MILLION TIMES AND IN GEN- ERAL DISLIKE THE 100%-HYSTERIA. WE DID THE RELEASE TO PISS HITMEN OFF. JUST A LITTLE TICKLE UNDER THEIR FEET. AFT- ER ALL, WE KNOW THAT THE VERSION PEOP- LE WILL KEEP IS THE F4CG-VERSION, AND AS AN AMERICAN SAID, IT IS QUITE OB- VIOUS AMERICANS WOULD PREFER A NORMAL SONG PLAYING - NO MATTER WHAT THE FIX- ING RULES ARE. WE KNEW WE WOULD BE GETTING MINUSPOINTS FOR THE RELEASE. SO WHAT?", said F4CG to PROPAGANDA. DISCUSSING THE FUTURE DISCUSSING THE FUTURE ________________________________________ HITMEN and F4CG are now on speaking- terms again. CURLIN and NEWSCOPY are discussing the issue whether HITMEN should release MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, a game set to be released by CHERRY SOFTWARE by Christmas this year. If released before sales, it will again give light to the discussion on 1OO%- versions as the sales version features removed bugs, more car-tracks, new music and additional graphics. It is clear that new guidelines and rules should be set - the 1OO%-debate has rushed the boards like a hurricane all over the year. THE GERMAN OPERATION GROWS THE GERMAN OPERATION GROWS ________________________________________ HITMEN are recruiting people. MAGIC MAN from the older days was taken in with a job arranging older CRAZY-members into the group. WEASEL, also ex-member of CRAZY teamed up only a few days later. SMASHER, today F4CG was also asked in because of his earlier membership in CRAZY. It appears HITMEN is working hard on becoming an operation as German as possible - and they are succeeding. If the unit can remain active we will pro- bably be seing one of the stronger gro- ups by the end of this year. This is particulary interesting as it has been almost deadly silent around them the first half of the year. SLEDGE WILL LEAVE FAIRLIGHT SLEDGE WILL LEAVE FAIRLIGHT ________________________________________ According to TRANZIIE, their European sysop SLEDGE will move to a new apart- ment soon. Of course he will take his ancient board WAREZ AQUARIUM with him, but he has finally decided to kick FAIRLIGHT behind him forever. FAIRLIGHT has not been much of a group the past years and even though the leadership was set in the hands of SLEDGE, support was terribly weak from the rest of the group. With SLEDGE gone, it is however almost certain that we have seen the last of FAIRLIGHT ever on the Commodore 64 - unless a miracle happens. Or if BACCHUS decides to turn off the PC. WAREZ AQUARIUM will be HITMEN only in the future. (sorry that you didn't know yet, Fairlight :) !) MORE THINGS TO COME MORE THINGS TO COME. ________________________________________ With the comeback of wares HITMEN did strong impact on the market and clearly stated that the end of summer is the beginning of a new era for them. More games are to come and CUPID is rumoured to be working on a graphics-collection called AVANTGARDE and there is even a chance the group will be doing a PC- demo for X98. Propaganda 25 (October 1997) +------+ |HITMEN| .. |HITMEN| -- +------+ ________________________________________ HITMEN finished of the summer with one of the strongest phases ever through their career and flooed the boards and FTP's with releases. As summer faded in- to autumn HITMEN took a step out of the spotlight and stopped their boost of energy in the scene. Motivation is not to be mistaken however - ups and downs are only natural for a group. Currently HITMEN is rocketing the charts in most of the magazines and can most definately live on their previous success all throughout this year. A THIRD DEMO IN THE WORKS A THIRD DEMO IN THE WORKS. ________________________________________ HITMEN is right now working day and night to finish their 3rd demo due to be released at THE PARTY 7 in Denmark if everything works out as planned. In fact almost the entire German operation is working with the project. It is ad- mirable and makes them the only crack- inggroup that actively takes part in the legal sphere. Both TRC*SCS and F4CG have promised to be back on the shelves with their productions but that still remains to be seen. In the meantime PROPAGANDA is looking forward to see a new demo from a group that is truly expanding new horizons. MOONCHILD BACK BEHIND THE BOOKS MOONCHILD BACK BEHIND THE BOOKS. ________________________________________ According to TRANZIIE, one of HITMEN'S spokesmen, MOONCHILD has started stu- dying again. MOONCHILD has been one of the favoritecrackers in the charts over the past year and will probably remain so even though activities will decrease. JACK ALIEN is working with REMEMBER on the side but still has time to work for HITMEN when needed. A SOURCE FOR ORIGINALS A SOURCE FOR ORIGINALS? ________________________________________ With the member RACOON entering the demogroup LEPSI as a second member, HIT- MEN have a foot inside a gameproducing squad giving competition to other groups who would normally be releasing games by LEPSI. GROEPAZ COLLECTION BIGGER THAN BOD'S GROEPAZ COLLECTION BIGGER THAN BOD S ________________________________________ GROEPAZ is currently gathering C64- software from the net. It is one of his many, many projects. The first half of 1999 finally tought us that the cracking buissnes in C-64 world is dead and so all activities in that section were stopped. Naturally this caused a lot of changes for the group and just the hardcore demo people made it to the staff that will take the name of Hitmen to the next millennium.
