TO00 was held at The Auditorium of the University of Technology (TUE) in
Eindhoven, The Netherlands for the pc scene. This was the the fourth time
the party was held. This year brought a number of changes for the
competitions; For the first time the music competitions did NOT feature a
category for tracked music (mp3 only), and the entire demo competition was
now for windows-demos only. Intros could still be dos though. Amusingly,
music competitions were split into house- and non-house music ;)
  The invitation promised all the usual comforts, like a big screen and
great audio system. The main hall is separate from the competition theatre.
A fast network would be made available, complete with internet access. The
hall has space for 750 people and 600 computers. Beer (!) and food was made
available around the clock, and matches from the European Football
Championships were shown on the big screen. Ticket prices were NLG 50,-
(about 23 euros).
  The compo machine would be a p2-450 with 128mb ram, nVidia GeForce
graphics card and Gravis Ultrasound or SoundBlaster 16 audio card, running
windows 98. The invitation promised a colorful party booklet and t-shirts
designed by wellknown scene artists (a.o. Made/Bomb!, who also did the TO98
shirts).
