designed to let you resolve situations like this, though it's probably
useful for other things too.

record their bank and other transactions and readily reconcile their bank
statements. They can enter details of standing orders which are scanned
each time the program is run and if any orders are due to be paid, the
relevant transaction entries are automatically created and the currence
balance amended.
