CU AMIGA MAY 1994,
'Why shell out for anything less?'

DISK 80:

OCTAMED V4
You simply won't believe your ears when you hear OctaMED 4, a complete, fully-functional sample and MIDI sequencer - yours to cherish for ever and annoy the neighbours with. Tony Horgan's even knocked up a tune for your too. Fab eh?

DISK 81:

BUBBLE & SQUEAK (AGA ONLY)
You saw the review last month of this absolutely brilliant platform game, and now's your chance to get stuck in and enjoy it. This A1200 only demo needs to be unpacked before you can play it, so make sure you've got a blank disk ready when you double click on the program icon. Swop disks when told to, and once you have the clear, reset your machine and load the Bubble & Squeek demo.
Audiogenic have been kind enough to give CU AMIGA's readers no less than three complete playable levels of the game, taken from various sections. The challenge is the same for all three, however.

FONTS & CLIPART GALORE!
Fonts... the life blood of DTP, video titling, word processing and graphics, Without a good collection of varied typefaces your documents will look dull, bland and uninteresting. Yet add a few well chosen type styles and your text will burst into life. When variety and imagination the use of different Serif and Sans Serif fonts can completely change the look of a page - having more impact than the inclusion of pictures and clipart.

DISK 82:

BUMP 'N' BURN
Even with all the racing games there have been on the Amiga, there has definitely been an unfilled opportunity for a two-player karting arcade game, not completely dissimilar to a certain Super Nintendo game featuring a plumber. Yes, after remaining so quiet for so long, Grandslam are about to kick the consoles out of the window with Bump 'n' Burn, a two player arcade racer with more dirty tracks and strange characters than an episode of The Bill.

NOTE: I can't get Bump 'n' Burn to work properly with any Amiga emulator.

BANSHEE (AGA ONLY)
Two of the greatest shoot em ups of all time had to be Flying Shark and its natural predecessor, 1942. both featured biplanes flying over war torn territories, and both featured mass destruction. This genre has been quiet for a long time, so it is with great thanks to Soren and Jacob, Core Design's Danish contingent, that we proudly bring you the AGA shoot em up of the year - Banshee.
