Unless otherwise specified, the textual content of pages on ExoticA are licensed under the Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. Any material used from the site must retain the same License.
Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License is a kind of "copyleft" license, which means that contents can be modified, copied and redistributed, so long as the new version is also free in the same sense, and carries the same license, and that attribution is given to the authors of the content (For example with a link back to the content on our site).
Please read the full license text for full details.
Certain areas of the site (like Lost In Translation) are licensed under a different Creative Commons copyleft license, which although similar in some respects to the Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported, may have some different usage rules. Pages which are licensed differently will state so clearly. The pages hold a different license due to the utilisation of text which is already licensed.
Images and other Files
The Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license does not cover the images and files on the site, most of which carry a license of their own. Copyright for the files and images lie with their respective authors and where applicable, permission should be acquired from the original authors before redistribution. Some of the images were licensed specifically for use on ExoticA and so permission would be needed. However the easiest way if you are not sure, is to ask on the ExoticA Forum.
