TP01 was held at the Messecenter in Aars, Denmark for the 11th time. Amiga
and pc competitions were combined. Worse still, the c64 music competition
was merged with the tracked music competition. Hardly fair. The c64 cover
band "Press Play On Tape" performed a live concert, which was relatively
well received. Farbrausch won the intro competition, but gave half their
prize money to mfx, since they felt their intro was the best one!
Criticism of this party in the scene press was quite harsh, and several
prominent sceners promised that this was the last time ever they were going
to attend the event, which by now had transgressed into a LAN party with
commercialism (Asus sponsorship) and gaming as its focal point. The scene
spirit seemed forever gone from this once-flagship party.
Thanks to the efforts of 3case, these results are a little more coherent
now, and certainly an improvement on the original results file. Still, there
are lots of gaps to be filled and any help would be most welcome!
