History

JOY^MGF was founded in 1988 as an association between two groups, The Magnificent Force (MGF) and JOY, both based in The Netherlands. Both groups released several intros, crack intros, and co-op demos with other Dutch groups Digital Force and The Jungle Command (notably a megademo with the latter).

JOY^MGF made an alliance with CPU from France starting in January 1989. The alliance was called CPU^MGF^JOY. It released at least one crack intro published in front of the famous strip poker game 'Teenage Queen' by Ere Informatique.

Later in 1989, all three groups died.

CPU merged with some ex-Swiss members of Alcatraz like Taskmaster and Roger Rabbit, and the resulting group was called Amnesia.
