Commenting on mod.space-crusade-intro the composer notes, "By the time I did this I was starting to develop a decent process on creating audio for games, and you can hear from this which was timed to a short movie. We sampled real bullet casings hitting the floor.."

With regards to the charmingly named mod.spaceing-piss, the composer writes, "This was supposed to be to Space Crusade what the Hero Quest Ingame music was.. Small on memory, yet went on for hours... I'm listening to it now for the first time in 10 years, and I cant say that I would do it like that these days... I think we took for granted the control we had over the chip then, and I think that I should have spent more time focusing on expression rather than melody which I seemed slave to in so many of these old tunes.."
