About The Game

Return of the Invaders is an arcade video game shoot-em-up.

A full colour update of the legendary original; featuring challenge stages and circling aliens. Return of the Invaders, while playable enough in its own right, would be vastly improved upon by its sequel, "Super Space Invaders '91", released five years' later.

Trivia

The development name of the game was "Space Invaders Part 3". Return of The Invaders was developed by UPL for Taito. For a small software company like UPL, working on the Space Invaders franchise was a great opportunity to gain notoriety within the video game industry. Unfortunately, Taito neglected to mention UPL in the finished game.
